Sanoli Chowdhury’s work consists of ambient textures married with subtle guitar passages and understated vocals, giving her music a distinct and unique impression. Her current work as a producer and songwriter often speaks of instinctive navigation of unknown feelings and memory - a sort of “subconscious awareness” as she states. Reflective and melancholic, her music could be described as a surreal combination of personal observations and a certain influence of mysticism.
Sanoli’s recent Lo-Fi EP with Arden, Seasons of Life, explores the six seasons of India, featuring musicians on violin, saxophone, bansuri, and tabla. The project brings to life a fluid dialogue between electronic music and Indian classical influences.
At BLR Hubba, Sanoli explores these genres further. With Abhaydev on cello, the music drifts between lo-fi chill pop melodies and dreamy soundscapes. Merging layered electronic production with live strings, anchored by ambient electric guitar.
